Today in History ... March 23

1989 - The Exxon Valdez hit a reef in the Gulf of Alaska, spilling 11 million gallons of crude oil in the largest oil tanker spill in U.S. history.
Exxon, anticipating billion dollar lawsuits, raised the price of their gas at the pump to help pay the costs. Understood.
NOT understood - Shell, Chevron, Sunoco, BP, Texaco had no lawsuits ahead but raised their pump prices anyway, just for the windfall profits.

That wasn't the first time or excuse and it hasn't been the last! They've been gouging us for decades!
Agree with the new movement that says DON'T buy Petrocan or Shell gas!
Boycott the bastards, you DO have power!

When the price of crude goes up in the Middle East, due to bombing or whatever, it takes MONTHS for that oil to reach North America and be refined into our gas pumps ... but it only takes seconds for the gas companies to gouge us with a price increase.
